My Chelation Story: An Educator’s Health Journey

CHELATION THERAPY: Healing in Action by R Viduya

 The Scenario

It all started in September 21, 2016 when the Coronary Angiography Report revealed that I have a SEVERE THREE VESSEL CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE. The procedure was done to confirm initial findings with my ECG and 2D Echo, thus my cardiologist concluded I have a condition called CARDIOMYOPATHY. 42619b04ede21d5bdfb74c8900e69bb4 (See photo for reference, grabbed from sciencenews.org – TLC)

Five cardiologists recommended an immediate CABG (bypass) but besides I don’t have 1 million pesos my faith and conscience tell me, bypass is way too far for me to take. Broken-hearted (not literally), we went home and even took the wheel myself and was on the road for 4 hours. On our way home, I remembered what Mathematics taught me – that there are multiple solutions to a problem – I finished BSEd major in mathematics and awarded the Mathematician of the Year during my graduation.

The Reasons for Fighting

I was just 45 years old then when my illness was discovered with a small family (loving wife and a teenager boy-girl twins) and a promising profession. I neither tried drugs nor smoking all my life. Though I drink beer before, it is always occasional in nature.

The Denial Stage

At first, it was a very frustrating and exhausting situation and just like most if not all having the same case, ACCEPTANCE was very hard. I filed a 4-month sick leave from work and started diet, tried various alternative medicines and regular exercise while doing research on other possible solutions to my problem.

I also must cling to my faith for guidance, miracles and acceptance.

The 4-month leave was fruitful and invigorating because I lost 5 kilograms, but I need to report back to office for I already consumed my leave credits. I resumed to duty January 2017 to December 2017 and even volunteered for field work going to remote areas that cannot be reach by any means of transportation with the idea in mind that by doing so I would burn all the cholesterol blocking my arteries. I was funny, but I really did it. Unknowingly, I already challenged my heart which to an expert is a very AGAW-BUHAY thing to do.

Despite everything I was doing, I never missed a scheduled periodic check up with my cardiologist and sad to say my November 2017 2D Echo result revealed that I was back to bad shape again.

Chelation Therapy…the KEY

I just knew there is such thing as CHELATION THERAPY using EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid) in January 2018 when a friend gave me a calling card of a chelation center in Quezon City. She said it was from a friend who experienced significant changes in his health condition after 40 sessions with the said therapy.

Interestedly, I asked Mr. Google about EDTA and after a lot of readings I decided to try the therapy and had my first session on February 21, 2018 at The Longevity Center Chelation and Wellness Clinic, Inc. My experience with the center convinced me that this was the solution to my problem.

The Amazing Fact

Yes, it is a fact that after my 16th session with EDTA my 2D Echo results revealed the following:

Report Feature November 29, 2017 March 19, 2018 Variance
Ejection Fraction (EF) 38 49 11
Left Atrium Moderately dilated Normal
Mitral Regurgitation Moderate Mild

Lessons Learned

  • Don’t forget your Math teachers telling you there are 1,001 ways to solve a problem.
  • Acceptance will bring you nearer to the solution or the popular word for the millennials is to MOVE ON.
  • Exercise and diet help.
  • Never challenge your heart, it might surrender to you and stop beating.
  • Chelation Therapy is helping me go through my problem, it will probably work with you too.
